A total of 9,970 vacancies will be filled across various Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) zones. Eligible and interested candidates can apply online from April 12 to May 11, 2025, through the respective RRB websites.

Eligibility Criteria for RRB ALP 2025
Educational Qualification
Candidates must fulfill one of the following:
- Matriculation/SSLC + ITI in relevant trades (Fitter, Electrician, Mechanic, etc.) approved by NCVT/SCVT, OR
- Matriculation + 3-Year Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile Engineering, OR
Bachelor’s Degree in the above engineering streams.
Note: Final-year students are not eligible to apply.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 30 years
Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/Ex-Servicemen as per government norms.
Medical Standards
Medical Category: A-1
Candidates must meet strict vision standards, including 6/6 distant vision without glasses and Sn 0.6 near vision. LASIK or other corrective surgeries are not permitted.

- General/OBC/EWS: ₹500 (₹400 refundable after CBT-1)
- SC/ST/Female/Transgender/Ex-Servicemen/EBC/Minorities: ₹250 (fully refundable after CBT-1)
Selection Process for RRB ALP Recruitment
- CBT-1: Preliminary screening test with 75 questions (60 minutes duration)
- CBT-2: Divided into Part-A (Technical) and Part-B (Trade-Specific)
- CBAT: Computer-Based Aptitude Test (mandatory for ALP role, with 30% weightage)
- Document Verification & Medical Examination
Negative Marking: 1/3rd marks will be deducted for each wrong answer in CBT-1 and CBT-2.

- Visit the official RRB website (e.g., rrbahmedabad.gov.in).
- Complete the registration with a valid email ID and mobile number.
- Fill out the application form and upload the required documents (photo, signature, etc.).
- Pay the application fee and submit the form before the last date.
Additional Guidelines
Only one application per candidate is allowed. Submitting multiple applications may lead to disqualification.
SC/ST applicants are eligible for free sleeper-class train passes for examination travel, subject to document verification.
Aadhaar authentication is encouraged for smooth processing during recruitment.
