New Delhi, April 26, 2025:
The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have announced the cancellation of the second shift of the 2nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT-II) for CEN No. 03/2024, concerning various posts including Junior Engineer (JE), Depot Material Superintendent (DMS), and Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant (CMA). The exam was conducted on April 22, 2025, in two shifts across various RRBs nationwide.
RRB JE CBT 2 Cancelled
The decision to cancel the second shift follows the discovery of inadvertent errors in the software system, leading to the repetition of certain questions from the first shift in the second shift. The RRBs noted that despite their high standards of confidentiality, including stringent software-based procedures for creating, processing, storing, and administering question sets, a technical glitch resulted in the overlap of questions between the two shifts.
In a statement, RRBs emphasized their commitment to maintaining fairness and transparency in the recruitment process. They expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to candidates and assured that the affected exam will be rescheduled. The new date for the rescheduled CBT-II will be announced soon.
Candidates have been advised to refer only to the official RRB websites for updates and not to rely on unauthenticated sources. Additionally, RRBs have issued a warning against touts who may try to mislead candidates with false promises of securing jobs illegally. They reaffirmed that selections are strictly based on performance in the Computer Based Tests and on candidate merit alone.
The notice concludes by reinforcing RRBs’ pledge to uphold the integrity of the examination process and to take all necessary steps to prevent such issues in the future.
Candidates are requested to stay patient and regularly check official communications for further updates regarding the rescheduled examination.
